The Workforce Recovery program at OHS. This program is designed to help those whose work ability has been affected by addiction, either an addiction of their own or that of a loved one.
OHS is strictly a non-narcotic facility.
We offer the highest standard of care while assisting people who:
- are out of the workforce because of addiction;
- have been or are at risk of being found not fit for duty at the worksite;
- have a family member whose addiction is affecting the workers performance at work.
Our detoxification treatment is a combination effort of short-term or long-term medication coupled with a structured counseling program.
The medication aspect of the program is administered and monitored by licensed physicians experienced in detoxification and its related health issues. Accountability is enforced through frequent drug screenings and tracking via the controlled substance database.
The counseling aspect of treatment is designed by one of the most respected addiction treatment centers in the country, Hazelden, and is based on a 12 step facilitation program. This program is listed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration on the National Registry of evidence based Programs and Practices.
Continuing care beyond detoxification is also available and combines counseling and effective non-narcotic medication for appropriate patients.
The goal of the Workforce Recovery treatment program is to advance the worker to an abstinent recovery compatible with a safe return to work. We believe that all workers impacted by addiction deserve the chance to join the recovery community and return to a satisfying and productive life.
